Ronald J Lindsey, born August 14, 1934 of Pocatello, Idaho, died March 16, 2021 in Herriman, Utah. Ron served in the US Army as a paratrooper and participated in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. He was proud to have served his country and talked about how he jumped out of perfectly good airplanes. Brigham Young University was a big part of Ron's life. He met his wife Nancy there and graduated in 1963 with a degree in Youth Leadership. He worked for the Boy Scouts of America for many years, earning the Silver Beaver award. Scouting was important in Ron's life and he was a positive influence in the lives of many young men. Ron had a deep love for his family and a strong testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Ron served five missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served in the Atlantic States Mission as a young man, and then with his wife, served in the California San Diego Mission, Philippines Angeles Mission, Canada Toronto East Mission, and Texas Houston Mission. Ron loved serving the Lord and wore himself out in His service. There are hundreds of missionaries that will remember Elder and Sister Lindsey and their famous pancakes. Ron is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy; children, Guy (Andrea), Mike (Elizabeth), Jackie (Bryan), Tim (Era), David (Jackie), Tami (Darron): 30 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Sherry Tingey; and brother, Gary. Ron was preceded in death by his daughter, Shelley; daughter-in-law, Cici; and son, Kit. A funeral service will take place on Friday, March 26th at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel located at 12352 S Big Bend Creek Drive in Herriman, Utah. Interment will take place in the Memorial Mountain View Cemetery.
