Isabelle Nevarez Chacon, 66, of Salt Lake City, passed away on December 29, 2019 surrounded by family and friends.
Isabelle was born in Brigham City, Utah to Albert Nevarez and Inez "Agnes" Garcia on December 4, 1953. She was raised in Salt Lake by her stepfather Dionicio O. Gonzalez and mother Agnes G. Gonzalez.
Isabelle united in Holy Matrimony to Jose Rubio Chacon on June 18, 1973 and they were blessed with five children.
Isabelle was a woman of many talents. She was musically inclined and able to sing and strum a guitar to her own tune. She shared her unique voice with many while singing in the choir at Our Lady Guadalupe Church. She was an amazing seamstress, making dresses for her daughters Quinceanera, to taking apart furniture and reupholstering it to new. She loved the outdoors and long drives to the middle of nowhere with her husband. She had a generous spirit and feisty personality and was loved by many. Her influences will forever remain in the lives of those who knew her. Isabelle may have physically departed but her soul will carry on in our hearts.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her husband, Jose Rubio Chacon, children Dioncio Dominic Nevarez, Secundino Chacon, and Librada (Kimberly) Chacon. Six grandchildren, Sabrielle Chacon, Meadow White, Jose Martinez Chacon, Joshua Kinn, Kaia Chacon, Renley Chacon and Colton Chacon. Brothers: Mario (Jodi) Nevarez, Demetrio Gonzalez, Joe Gonzalez, Sisters: Diane (Eduardo) Chacon, Jenette Gonzalez, And many nieces and nephews and extended family who loved her dearly.
Isabelle is proceeded in death by her father, Albert Nevarez, stepfather Dionicio Gonzalez, mother Agnes Gonzalez, daughter Agnes Catrina Chacon, son Jose Miguel Chacon, daughter-in-law Brandiliee Chacon and granddaughter Sierra Chacon.
Rosary Mass will be held at 12:00 pm on January 11, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 257 N 700 W, Salt Lake City. Burial will follow at the Mount Calvary Cemetery, 275 U Street, Salt Lake City. A luncheon will be held at the Columbus Center located at 2531 South 400 East, where family and friends can gather in remembrance of Isabelle.
